How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Serenite Health Ltd., doing business as Serenite Health ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or receives our services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to information collected through our website (serenitehealth.com) and in connection with scheduling and receiving our clinical services. It does not apply to third-party websites linked from our Site.
A note for patients: Your Protected Health Information (PHI) as a patient is also governed by a separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, provided at your first visit and available upon request. That document describes your rights and our obligations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act (Tex. Health & Safety Code Ch. 181).
Information you provide to us: contact details (name, email, phone, address), date of birth, health history and clinical information shared during intake or consultations, appointment scheduling details, payment information (processed securely; full card numbers are not stored), and messages you send us by phone, email, or contact form.
Information collected automatically: IP address and approximate location, browser and device type, pages visited, time on page, and referral source. We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).
Information from third-party services: Our online booking platform (Brisk Cloudware) collects scheduling and contact information subject to their own privacy terms. We encourage you to review their policy before booking.
We use the information we collect to schedule and confirm appointments; provide, coordinate, and document clinical services; communicate with you about your care and inquiries; process payments; send appointment reminders; improve our website and services; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
As a provider of health services, we handle Protected Health Information (PHI) subject to HIPAA and the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act. We use and disclose PHI only as permitted by law — for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations — and as described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
As a patient, you have the right to access and obtain copies of your health records; request corrections; restrict certain uses and disclosures; receive an accounting of disclosures; and choose how we communicate with you. To request our Notice of Privacy Practices or exercise any of these rights, contact us at referrals@serenitehealth.com or 832-688-8760.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only in limited circumstances: with service providers (booking platform, payment processor, EHR system) bound by confidentiality obligations; with individuals you have authorized in writing; when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority; to prevent imminent harm consistent with applicable law; or in connection with a business acquisition or merger, subject to the same protections described here.
Our website may use cookies to remember preferences, analyze usage, and understand how visitors interact with our content. We may use third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics with anonymized data). You can disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. You may opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use cookies to track you across unaffiliated third-party websites for advertising purposes.
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and secure storage for clinical records. We require employees to protect personal information through written policies and procedures and provide periodic privacy and security awareness training. We maintain a privacy incident response and prevention program. Where required by law, business partners who process personal information on our behalf must protect the privacy of data we share with them. No electronic transmission method is completely secure; if you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at 832-688-8760.
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes collected. Medical records are kept for a minimum of 10 years from the date of last service for adult patients, as required by Texas law. Billing records are retained for a minimum of 7 years. Website analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Information is securely destroyed or de-identified when no longer required.
We comply with applicable state and federal laws governing information privacy. You may have rights to access, correct, request deletion of, or object to certain uses of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements. Under applicable law, you may also have the right to provide or withhold opt-in consent for certain uses of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us in writing at referrals@serenitehealth.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
We send marketing communications only to those who have opted in. You may unsubscribe from email marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly. Opting out does not affect transactional communications related to your care.
If you have opted in to receive SMS messages from Serenite Health Ltd, we may collect your phone number and use it solely to send appointment reminders and confirmation texts, seasonal offers, and service communications. We send approximately 2–3 SMS messages per month. Standard message and data rates may apply — contact your wireless provider for details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To opt out of SMS at any time, reply STOP. You will receive a confirmation, after which no further SMS messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START. For assistance, reply HELP or call (346) 379-4407.
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without verified parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
Our Site may link to third-party websites — including our booking platform, social media, and sites that may be required to support your care. Those sites operate independently under their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and a link does not constitute or imply endorsement by us. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit before sharing personal information.
We may provide email and contact form links to facilitate communication between us and you. Unless otherwise noted, email and electronic messages sent through our website are not fully secure or confidential. Unencrypted email may be accessed or viewed by others while in transit. We recommend you do not send sensitive health or financial information via regular email. For secure communications regarding your care, please call us directly at 832-688-8760.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
